Job description

The role involves leading the architecture of the SoC display subsystem within Apple's Platform Architecture team. This team fosters a collaborative environment focused on engineering excellence and innovation. The candidate will work closely with engineers across Apple to develop algorithms and architectures that enhance technology experiences. The position requires a deep understanding of display subsystem architecture and related technologies.

Requirements

  • BS degree in a relevant field
  • Experience in chip architecture, display subsystem architecture, and/or design
  • 20+ years of relevant industry experience in signal/image processing
  • MS or PhD degree is preferred
  • Understanding of SoC display sub-system architecture, interface, performance, and energy tradeoffs
  • Expertise in memory subsystem, memory interface, and DMA
  • Strong communication skills with cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

  • Lead the architecture of the SoC display subsystem
  • Oversee memory fabric interface and data pipe flow controls
  • Implement memory compression and display interfaces
  • Collaborate with engineers to develop algorithms and architectures
  • Ensure the architecture meets performance and energy efficiency standards
