The Senior Program Manager will lead a large cross-functional project aimed at enhancing the experience of over 1 billion Apple customers. This role involves working with advanced AI technologies, including Large Language Models, to deliver innovative search products and features. The manager will be responsible for driving consensus among diverse teams and ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle. The focus will be on improving user experience and quality through strategic program management and proactive risk management.

• 8+ years of experience in driving large scale program building machine learning powered products.
• Excellent program management skills including program structuring and managing multiple work streams interdependently.
• Strong ability to communicate abstract ideas clearly, managing comprehensive yet succinct project status updates to all levels of audience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, or related field and equivalent experience.
• 8+ years experience in delivery search and generative answer quality improvements is a plus.

• Drive consensus across multiple groups with varying opinions and needs.
• Create and manage project schedules with clear dependencies and critical paths.
• Proactively identify and manage risks, closing gaps and re-planning as needed.
• Provide clear, timely, and objective communication, including regular program status updates.
• Lead measurements to help the team understand and measure success, including quality and usage scale.
• Advocate for user and company values when leading the team to convergence on key open questions.
• Lead early feedback collection from internal dogfooding during feature convergence.
• Reflect on how the team operates and propose new ways to enable more effective processes.
