Job description

The SAP ABAP Support Engineer role at Apple involves developing, troubleshooting, and maintaining business applications within the IS&T organization's SAP Development Team. This position plays a crucial role in supporting enterprise applications that drive Apple's core functions, including Sales, Retail, and Finance. The engineer will contribute to system reliability and security while collaborating with various teams. The role requires participation in on-call support and proactive system monitoring.

Requirements

  • 2 years of professional experience in SAP Application Development and Support and external non-SAP Services
  • 2 years of professional experience in developing custom applications in ABAP and troubleshooting/customizing SAP delivered standard applications
  • 2 years of professional experience with Application programming on S/4HANA including RAP, OData, CDS Views, and SAP FIOR
  • 2 years of hands-on development experience in Eclipse Tool
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent years of work experience

Responsibilities

  • Monitor support quality and ensure process adherence
  • Identify technical improvement areas for teams and individuals for effective support
  • Identify automation opportunities and implement such efforts
  • Attend to production issues timely during on-call assigned time
  • Interact regularly with SAP Support Functional, BASIS, and Security teams
  • Manage issues, perform proactive system monitoring, and implement upgrades and minor enhancements
