This role is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) solutions. The position involves analyzing silicon performance data to improve static timing analysis tools and methodologies. You will work closely with design teams to optimize performance and battery life across various Apple products. This critical role requires a strong understanding of advanced silicon technology and its impact on product performance.

• Minimum requirement of a BS degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Coding experience in one or more of C, Perl, Python, or Tcl
• Experience working in static timing analysis, DFT, physical design, failure analysis, or CAD
• Solid coding and debugging skills in C, Perl, Python, or Tcl
• Fundamentals of statistics, hypothesis testing, data mining, Machine Learning, and Design of Experiments

• Analyze silicon performance data and incorporate findings into design methodologies
• Work with design teams, DFT, CAD, and product engineering to design experiments and analyze results
• Refine design methodologies applied across all silicon design at Apple
• Establish correlation metrics to support design closure activities including Static Timing Analysis
• Assist in developing and deploying design closure margins and methodologies to optimize power/performance tradeoffs
