Job description
Apple's Camera Firmware team is looking for a talented firmware engineer to advance innovative technologies for Apple's products. This role involves working on core camera technologies, including the Image Signal Processing (ISP) pipeline and machine learning techniques. The position emphasizes collaboration within a dynamic team environment, allowing for significant contributions to product development. Candidates will engage in rapid product iteration and innovation while supporting the future of photography and videography.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience
- Hands-on experience in embedded software development
- Proficiency in C/C++
- Proficiency in development of multi-thread software within embedded RTOS systems
- Deep expertise and hands-on experience with ARM-based SoCs
- Strong background in image and video signal processing, including ISP and machine learning algorithms
- Proven ability to optimize system performance and improve the efficiency of embedded systems
- Exceptional problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Previous experience in camera systems or related fields is a plus
Responsibilities
- Develop low-level device drivers for advanced image processing pipelines in embedded systems
- Integrate and configure camera sensors and power management units for Apple products
- Identify and resolve performance and memory usage bottlenecks in embedded systems
- Build camera functionalities for embedded systems in Apple products
- Contribute to hardware validation and offer firmware support during factory testing
