Job description
The Embedded Quality Engineer - Camera will ensure the delivery of high-quality camera and ISP solutions for Apple products. This role involves qualifying camera firmware and drivers to enhance the camera experience for millions of users. The engineer will work in a fast-paced environment, contributing to the development of upcoming products. This position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on camera technology.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 3 years relevant industry experience.
- 3+ years of QA experience testing embedded system products.
- Solid understanding of development lifecycles, QA methodologies, and structured test processes.
- Proficiency in Python or a similar scripting language.
- Understanding of camera technologies, image signal processing (ISP) pipeline, 3A, video formats, and color space is a plus.
- Familiarity with command-line operation of operating systems such as macOS or Unix/Linux.
- Strong verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working on successful, large-volume consumer products.
Responsibilities
- Independently drive and own testing of camera features across platforms.
- Design test cases and implement test plans related to functionality, performance, power, stability, and image quality.
- Execute creative manual tests and develop scalable automated tests and test tools integrated with CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with development teams and multi-functional QA teams to triage, diagnose, and debug issues.
- Identify trends and highlight potential risks.
