Job description
The DSP Wireless System Engineer at Apple will work on innovative solutions to enhance power amplifier efficiency in wireless systems. This role involves collaboration with various engineering teams to architect calibration and correction methods for hardware and firmware. The engineer will focus on optimizing digital signal processing techniques to improve performance while reducing power consumption. Requirements
- BSEE and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience.
- Experience in designing relevant signal processing for wireless communications systems.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development, modeling, and simulation.
- Hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization using spectrum analyzers and signal generators.
- MSEE/PhD with proven experience in optimization algorithms and RF calibration.
Responsibilities
- Architect various calibration and correction methods for hardware and firmware implementation.
- Collaborate with RF/analog designers, software engineers, and product engineers to define specifications.
- Optimize digital signal processing techniques to enhance power amplifier efficiency.
- Participate in testing, characterizing, and optimizing real silicon in the lab.
- Work with digital and firmware designers to implement efficient digital solutions.
