Job description

The SoC Power Integrity Engineer will join the Hardware Technology Group to develop, implement, and verify Power Integrity solutions for Apple devices. This role requires attention to detail and a passion for precision in creating outstanding results. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define power delivery networks and ensure the quality of power integrity through lab measurements. The position demands a strong understanding of power supply architecture and design methodologies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
  • M.S. or Ph.D. with an academic background in Power/Signal Integrity, Power Electronics, or Analog Circuit Design.
  • Understanding of power supply architecture covering multi-stage voltage regulator technologies.
  • Experience in PI/SI methodology development and PDN modeling.
  • Proficiency in Python coding and AI/ML assisted automation experience.
  • Good knowledge in 3D/2D EM simulation tools and electromagnetic theory.

Responsibilities

  • Define the PDN architecture and design solution space for systems across a wide range of power specifications.
  • Conduct power delivery modeling, simulation, and characterization for die, interposer, package, board, and Voltage Regulator.
  • Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to design end-to-end power delivery systems.
  • Manage all SoC droop related topics, including on-die inrush and off-die droop budget.
  • Verify the quality of power integrity using lab measurements and analysis.
