Job description

We are seeking a SerDes System Validation Engineer to lead the validation of mixed-signal SerDes IP within a dynamic Analog-Mixed/Signal design team. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the highest quality and efficiency in delivering innovative products. The engineer will tackle complex problems and contribute to the development of high-speed serial links, enhancing the impact of their work. A strong focus on system validation, debugging, and understanding design architecture is essential.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong background in high-speed serial links and common SerDes protocols such as PCIe, USB, and UCIe.
  • Experience with system bring-up of high-speed serial links and lab testing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, C, or Matlab for automation.
  • Knowledge of DFT to aid in system validation and enhance testability.

Responsibilities

  • Own the SerDes system bring-up, validation, and debugging processes.
  • Verify basic operations and analyze robustness and margins in the system environment.
  • Collaborate with design teams to understand architecture and define DFT needs.
  • Engage in mixed-signal verification tasks to understand SerDes operation.
  • Lead mixed-signal SerDes system validation and silicon bring-up efforts.
