Join the Messages team on watchOS at Apple, where you will help revolutionize the Apple Watch experience. This role focuses on building features that enhance communication, such as Voice Dictation and Text Effects. You will collaborate closely with designers and other teams to create high-quality, user-friendly software. Your work will directly impact how users connect and communicate from their wrist.
Requirements
- 3+ years of related experience
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 3 years of experience in Objective-C or Swift
- Proven experience contributing to at least one application or framework
- A consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within specifications
- Familiarity with systems and hands-on experience with inter-process communication
- Experience optimizing applications and profiling across the entire stack
- Adaptability, results orientation, and a positive attitude
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills
- Attention to detail
- Experience improving and expanding on existing complex projects and systems
- Experience defining and driving large scale projects across different levels of the stack
- Experience with both SwiftUI and UIKit lifecycle apps
Responsibilities
- Work with designers to turn ideas into meaningful prototypes and demo them to stakeholders
- Write high quality, well tested, and performant code to develop prototypes into polished experiences
- Architect systems that are extensible, adaptable, and stand the test of time
- Profile and optimize cutting-edge features to run well on a low-powered device
- Work daily with quality assurance teams to find and fix bugs, edge cases, and performance issues
