Job description
The EHS Engineer will be part of the Apple Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) team, focusing on protecting the environment, health, and safety of employees and customers. This role involves providing EHS support to various corporate operations and ensuring regulatory compliance in Apple facilities. The successful candidate will be responsible for program implementation, incident review, and continuous improvement initiatives. They will also collaborate on food safety and sanitation procedures for Apple's retail restaurants and coffee bars.
Requirements
- 5-8 or more years of professional EHS operations experience
- BA/BS in an EHS based degree or relevant experience
- 5 or more years of food safety experience, preferably in a regulatory capacity and/or corporate setting
- REHS preferred
- Working knowledge of regulatory frameworks including Title 8 California Code of Regulations and California Fire and Building Codes
- Experience managing budgets
- Excellent organizational and problem resolution skills
Responsibilities
- Provide EHS support to various Corporate team operations
- Manage regulatory compliance obligations in Apple owned/operated facilities
- Facilitate program coordination and perform building and lab inspections
- Support accident/incident investigations and schedule trainings and drills
- Provide emergency response and collaborate on food safety and sanitation procedures
- Conduct routine food facility inspections to determine compliance with standard operating procedures and state and local laws
- Educate chefs during routine visits on food safety and internal policies and procedures
