JobsDigital Mixed Signal Modeling Engineer
Job description
Join Apple's mixed-signal PMU ASIC team to develop advanced power management units that enhance the performance and efficiency of Apple's hardware products. This role focuses on designing, developing, and validating SystemVerilog real-number models of complex analog IPs, bridging the gap between digital and analog design. You will collaborate closely with both analog and digital designers to create essential models for high-speed simulations. This position offers deep exposure to full-chip integration and silicon bring-up processes across Apple's diverse product portfolio.
Requirements
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- At least 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Solid understanding of both digital and analog circuit fundamentals.
- Proficiency in Verilog or SystemVerilog.
- Ability to read and interpret analog schematics and simulation results.
- Experience with SystemVerilog real-number modeling (RNM) or wreal/EEnet methodology.
- Hands-on experience with power management circuits such as LDOs, buck converters, charge pumps, or voltage references.
- Familiarity with digital verification methodology, such as UVM and coverage-driven verification.
- Experience with mixed-signal or digital simulation tools like Xcelium or Virtuoso.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting for automation and analysis.
- Experience using LLM-based or AI-assisted coding tools for model or RTL development.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and validate SystemVerilog real-number models of complex analog IPs.
- Collaborate with analog and digital designers to create models capturing key circuit behaviors.
- Conduct high-speed digital/analog closed-loop simulations to identify design bugs.
- Read schematics and attend architecture and design reviews.
- Build and debug models while correlating results against transistor-level simulations.
- Gain exposure to full-chip integration, tapeout cycles, and silicon bring-up correlation.
Benefits
- Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
