Job description

The Senior Software Engineer, AI/ML position at Google Public Sector focuses on developing advanced data synthesis pipelines and AI-based retrieval applications. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  • 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience with one or more of the following: Speech/audio technology, reinforcement learning, ML infrastructure, or another ML field.
  • Active or ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Architect and operate advanced data synthesis pipelines and AI-based retrieval applications.
  • Manage petabyte-scale data ingestion and synchronization across compute environments.
  • Optimize highly parallel numerical operations and ML inference algorithms for specialized hardware accelerators.
  • Lead technical direction and provide engineering mentorship for groups developing complex software systems.
  • Implement rigorous data life-cycle policies to ensure system resilience and data integrity.
