Job description

The Apple Machine Translation team is seeking exceptional Software Engineers to develop low-level frameworks and services that connect advanced Machine Learning models to various Translation experiences. This role focuses on enhancing customer experiences and involves collaboration with multiple partner teams. Candidates should be strong programmers and creative problem solvers who thrive in dynamic environments. A passion for developing new features and maintaining existing code is essential.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of development experience with Objective-C
  • Experience in object-oriented software design and programming
  • Experience with framework-level programming including multi-threaded architectures and cross-process communication
  • Accomplished debugging and problem-solving skills
  • Strong testing discipline
  • Excellent communication and collaborative skills
  • B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field with 4+ years of industrial working experience
  • 5+ years of development experience with Objective-C
  • Experience with Swift & SwiftUI
  • Project Leadership experience

Responsibilities

  • Develop low-level frameworks and services for Machine Learning models
  • Connect inference engines to various Translation experiences across platforms
  • Collaborate with partner teams including Asset delivery, Phone/FaceTime, and Messages
  • Maintain existing code and fix bugs
  • Contribute to overall system design
  • Develop new features
