Job description
The role is for a software engineer on the tvOS Communications Experiences team at Apple, focusing on enhancing FaceTime and camera experiences on Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad. The team works collaboratively to create seamless and delightful communication experiences for users. Engineers will propose, implement, and present new features while maintaining high standards of quality and consistency. This position offers opportunities for growth and collaboration across various teams within Apple.
Requirements
- Strong at object-oriented programming and design with 3+ years of experience
- Aptitude for working on frameworks and APIs with 3+ years of experience
- Experience developing on Apple platforms with 3+ years of experience
- Excellent communication skills with a diverse team including engineers, designers, program managers, and evangelists
- Unbridled attention to detail
- Experience in writing multi-threaded, asynchronous code
- Experience debugging performance problems and optimizing code for limited CPU and memory resources
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- Experience maintaining an existing large codebase
- Performance debugging experience
Responsibilities
- Work on the Apple TV, iPhone, and iPad FaceTime app as well as the underlying iOS and tvOS systems
- Propose, implement, and present features to enhance communications and camera experiences on Apple TV
- Champion high standards for quality and consistency in Apple software
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver a magical user experience
- Take ownership of projects and care deeply about end user experiences
- Independently learn new technologies as needed
