The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer role at Google Public Sector focuses on providing technical guidance and best practices for customers adopting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services. The engineer will ensure optimal customer experiences in migrating and modernizing applications on GCP. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience automating infrastructure provisioning, DevOps, continuous integration, or delivery.
- 6 years of experience in system design troubleshooting and advocating for customers' needs.
- Experience coding in one or more general purpose languages such as Python, Java, Go, C or C++.
- Experience coding in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform or OpenTofu.
- Must possess an active Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Provide domain expertise on public cloud and enterprise technology.
- Automate end-to-end infrastructure provisioning using IaC tools and GitOps workflows.
- Build secure CI/CD pipelines that integrate DevSecOps principles and automated compliance.
- Architect scalable and resilient cloud solutions that align with customer objectives.
- Scale technical impact by authoring public-facing content such as technical blogs and tutorials.
- Manage stakeholders within customer environments to deliver positive outcomes on GCP.
