Job description
As a CPU Physical Electrical Analysis Engineer at Apple, you will focus on the design and analysis of power-grid and high-performance compute blocks. This role involves driving block and top-level EMIR/electrical verification closure while collaborating with various teams to ensure design fidelity and quality. You will work with CAD/EDA vendors and implementation teams to meet project schedules and quality standards. Your contributions will be vital in delivering groundbreaking Apple products.
Requirements
- Minimum BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
- Experience with PNR design implementation and STA
- Knowledge of computer architecture and RISC pipelines
- Experience in TCL-based automation with PNR and STA tools
- Familiarity with industry standard tools such as Siemens, Ansys Redhawk, Seascape, or Cadence Voltus
- Working knowledge of C/C++
- Ability to write and maintain scripts in TCL, Python, or Perl
- Experience with data analysis techniques using Python or Perl
- Experience with matplotlib, pandas, or similar data analytics packages
Responsibilities
- Drive block and top-level EMIR/electrical verification closure
- Work on power grid design, construction, and implementation using existing infrastructures
- Create custom solutions in the PNR tool environment when necessary
- Collaborate with CAD/EDA vendors to ensure fidelity of analysis results
- Work with methodology teams to cover unique use cases
- Collaborate with implementation teams to drive design and sign-off closure
- Coordinate with SoC level teams to meet IP delivery quality and schedule
