Job description

The role involves working with Apple's Responsible AI & Safety initiatives for global generative AI products. The team focuses on shaping safety policies in collaboration with various stakeholders to enhance user protection and product innovation. Candidates will work closely with machine learning researchers, engineers, and design teams to develop solutions that improve user experience. Requirements

  • 3+ years of proven ability in machine learning, including work with generative models, NLP, or Computer Vision.
  • 4+ years of research or product deployment record in areas related to responsible AI, with publications in top ML venues.
  • Strong research fundamentals and development methodologies around LLMs, foundation models, and diffusion models.
  • Experience working in the Responsible AI space.
  • PhD, MS or BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields or an equivalent qualification.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with machine learning researchers and engineers to develop groundbreaking solutions for Apple products.
  • Produce safety evaluations that uphold Apple's Responsible AI values through thoughtful data sampling and curation.
  • Conduct high quality annotations and careful auto-grading to assess feature performance.
  • Analyze evaluation results to understand their implications for user experience.
  • Contribute to a highly cross-functional environment and ship complex AI systems at a global scale.
