Job description
The Machine Learning Integration Engineer will join the Video Computer Vision group at Apple, focusing on deploying advanced vision models on Apple devices. This role involves optimizing model performance, efficiency, and scalability while collaborating with hardware, software, and AI teams. The team has developed groundbreaking features like FaceID and gesture control, aiming to enhance user interaction with devices. The position requires a blend of research and product development to deliver high-quality experiences.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong knowledge of model compression techniques such as pruning, distillation, quantization, and weight clustering.
- Solid understanding of operating systems and extensive programming experience in Python and C++.
- Experience working with PyTorch.
- Experience with the machine learning model development lifecycle, including data preprocessing, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Foundational understanding of machine learning, including MultiModal LLMs and integration of ML components into production systems.
- Experience with CoreFoundation, RealityKit, and CoreML frameworks.
- Fundamental knowledge of real-time video pipelines, image transformations, and rendering loops.
- Programming experience with Swift.
