Job description
The AI, Search & Knowledge Platforms team at Apple focuses on developing advanced AI, search, and knowledge systems that enhance user experiences across various applications like Siri and iMessage. This role involves conducting large scale machine learning and deep learning research to improve Open Domain Question Answering and Summarization. The candidate will work on developing sophisticated machine learning models to understand user queries and synthesize information. Additionally, the position requires collaboration with researchers and data scientists to create domain-specific Large Language Models for Apple's AI-powered products.
Requirements
- 3+ years of machine learning experience in search and natural language processing.
- Proven experience in LLM post-training techniques such as SFT, RLHF, and Reward Modeling.
- Hands-on experience building reinforcement learning pipelines and training agents.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in reinforcement learning-based post-training on LLM models.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced Reinforcement Learning technologies for generative models.
- Drive cross-functional technical initiatives and collaborate with various teams.
- Develop novel RL algorithms and improve existing ones.
- Stay updated with the latest RL research and integrate best practices into workflows.
- Work on the end-to-end machine learning lifecycle including algorithm design and deployment.
