This role is for an expert wireless systems engineer on Apple's Wireless Architecture team, focusing on the development of wireless technologies through system modeling and simulations. The team is dedicated to enhancing the performance of Apple devices in various radio environments using advanced simulation platforms. The engineer will work on understanding wireless protocol interactions and the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions. • BS degree and 3+ years of relevant industry experience
• In-depth understanding of the fundamentals of wireless communications
• Experience with wireless simulation and transceiver algorithm design
• Proficiency in software languages such as C/C++/Python
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of wireless systems and protocols including Cellular, WiFi, and Bluetooth
• Familiarity with version control tools and event-driven simulations
• Knowledge and experience with AI and LLM
• PhD is preferred

• Model the network protocols and the effects of wireless channels and RF interactions in the simulation platform
• Provide reference simulations and conduct specific studies using the simulation platform
• Analyze interactions across different layers of wireless protocols and technologies within devices
• Utilize sophisticated simulation platforms to study device performance in complex radio and network conditions
