Job description
The Siri & Information Intelligence team is seeking engineers to define and architect on-device search technologies. This role involves collaboration with machine learning, natural language processing, and infrastructure teams to optimize software for Apple's products. Candidates will focus on delivering advanced search capabilities while ensuring user privacy. A strong emphasis is placed on software architecture, system design, and cross-functional collaboration.
Requirements
- BS in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or equivalent proven experience.
- 4+ years of iOS / macOS application development with Objective-C and/or Swift.
- Prior experience developing frameworks and designing application programming interfaces.
- Comfortable working cross-functionally and can communicate complex ideas clearly.
- Software optimization experience, accompanied by knowledge of profiling tools and techniques, is a plus.
- Knowledge of machine learning fundamentals is a plus.
- Knowledge and experience in search and indexing technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Define and implement the architecture of Apple's search technology across all products.
- Work closely with multiple teams to build durable and reusable technologies.
- Deliver the latest advances in search from text to media while safeguarding user privacy.
- Collaborate with natural language processing, machine learning, and OS framework teams to tailor technologies for Apple platforms.
