This role is for a talented engineer to join Apple's physical design machine learning architecture team. The team focuses on developing methodologies and solutions that significantly impact upcoming products. You will work collaboratively with multi-functional teams to optimize the Power, Performance, and Area of SoCs. This position offers the opportunity to tackle unique challenges in physical design and machine learning, contributing to the creation of revolutionary Apple products.
Requirements
- Minimum BS and 10+ years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience with VLSI fundamentals, including physical design.
- Experience with optimization algorithms, complex data structures, and linear algebra.
- Practical experience and knowledge in advanced machine learning algorithms like GNNs, VAEs, transformers, diffusion models, and LLMs.
- Excellent programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Master's or PhD with relevant publications in Machine Learning and/or EDA algorithms.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- Use experience in physical design and machine learning to solve complex problems.
- Impact various areas of the flow including RTL design, logic synthesis, and floor planning.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, power, post silicon, CAD, software, and machine learning teams.
