The Software Engineer III role focuses on developing embedded systems and firmware for the Pixel Watch at Google. The position is part of the Pixel Watch Audio team, which is responsible for enhancing the audio experience on Wear OS devices. Engineers in this role will work on audio drivers and frameworks, ensuring efficient hardware-software integration. The team aims to deliver innovative audio features while maintaining low power consumption.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree (C++).
• 2 years of experience working with embedded operating systems.

• Deliver software across various components, including MCU domain, ADSP, Linux kernel, and Android.
• Influence technical direction for voice and audio features, defining and building next-generation audio AI experiences on Pixel Watch.
• Design, plan, develop, and deliver novel audio pipeline code.
• Collaborate closely with Board Support Package (BSP), Modem, Algo, Ambient Compute, and AI teams.
• Enable the next generation of audio features, focusing on microphone input to drive novel interactions with the device.
