Job description
The Data Center Mechanical Engineer role at Google focuses on the design, implementation, and management of mechanical systems for data centers. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in mission critical facility design and construction environments.
- 3 years of experience with mechanical infrastructure systems such as HVAC and cooling systems.
- 3 years of experience with data center operations and working with mechanical contractors.
- 3 years of experience with electro/mechanical assembly and mechanical testing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical support to data center services and operations teams.
- Develop, implement, and manage mechanical designs at the site level.
- Collaborate with the Engineer of Record to respond to site-specific engineering Requests for Information.
- Work closely with the core engineering team to provide site-specific requirements during the development of the Basis of Design.
- Own and manage site-level mechanical and cooling system issues during project execution.
