Job description

The Trust & Safety group at Apple is seeking a software engineer to join their solutions team, which focuses on building and supporting fraud-fighting systems at scale. This role involves developing high-volume, low-latency risking systems that protect Apple services and customers from fraud and abuse. The engineer will work with diverse technologies and must be able to respond quickly to adversaries while ensuring seamless operation across various execution contexts. A strong interest in big data, distributed systems, and machine learning is essential for success in this position.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 3 or more years of experience working on large-scale, enterprise applications using Java/Scala and related technologies
  • Experience in relational and non-relational database systems
  • Experience designing and operating highly distributed, scalable, and highly available systems
  • Excellent communication skills to support requirements analysis and clearly articulate design and trade-offs
  • Experience with big data and machine learning systems, tools, and technologies
  • Experience building microservices or event-driven applications from the ground up

Responsibilities

  • Build and support Trust & Safety risking systems at Apple scale
  • Rapidly develop and deploy effective fraud-fighting solutions to production
  • Work on integrations to make decisions that protect customers
  • Design, architect, and evolve systems in partnership with the Platform team
  • Tune and debug production systems
