Job description

The Wireless Power Technology team at Apple is seeking a power design engineer to lead the integration of inductive technology into various products. This role focuses on developing and designing wireless power systems to create the best user experience in wireless charging. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure all specifications and requirements are met for product shipping. The position requires strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to innovation in wireless technology.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Solid fundamentals in both analog and digital design with a focus on Power Electronics.
  • Experience in circuit level simulation using platforms like Cadence, ADS, or LTspice.
  • Knowledge and experience in direct wireless charging.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and design wireless power systems.
  • Write requirements, specifications, and test plans for hardware and firmware.
  • Define factory tests and work with peers to perform failure analysis and corrective actions.
  • Guide the team in developing necessary algorithms and analysis for each regime of operation.
  • Collaborate with multiple discipline teams to make design trade-offs based on available information.
