Job description
The Wireless Power Technology team at Apple is focused on creating the best wireless charging user experience through innovative technologies. The team is seeking a power design engineer to lead the integration of inductive technology into various Apple products. This role involves collaborating with multiple disciplines to ensure successful product development and meeting high standards for analysis and manufacturing. The engineer will also be responsible for writing specifications, defining tests, and guiding the development of algorithms for wireless power systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Solid fundamentals in both analog and digital design with a focus on Power Electronics.
- Experience in circuit level simulation using platforms like Cadence, ADS, or LTspice.
- Knowledge and experience in direct wireless charging.
- Experience with firmware definition and debugging.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Develop and design wireless power systems.
- Write requirements, specifications, and test plans for hardware and firmware.
- Define factory tests and work with peers to perform failure analysis.
- Guide the team in developing necessary algorithms and analysis for operation regimes.
- Collaborate with multiple discipline teams to integrate technology into products.
- Ensure all specifications and requirements are met for product shipping.
- Participate in up to 20% travel for project needs.
