In this role, you will be part of the Siri and Information Intelligence organization, focusing on enhancing user experiences through Apple Intelligence. You will drive the development of LLM-based question answering and personal content search, utilizing advanced reinforcement learning techniques. The position requires a deep understanding of user context and information needs to deliver accurate and intuitive solutions. You will collaborate with various teams to impact billions of Apple users worldwide.
Requirements
- 10+ years of R&D experience leading engineering, applied research, or machine learning experiences in search and natural language processing.
- MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning with a specialty in reinforcement learning, or a related field.
- Deep expertise in information retrieval, machine learning, and natural language processing, particularly in reinforcement learning-based post-training on LLM models.
- Strong product intuition and ownership.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A growth mindset and the ability to learn new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Drive LLM-based question answering and personal content search.
- Develop advanced reinforcement learning algorithms and synthetic/human data pipelines.
- Evangelize the generative AI technology vision and strategy.
- Execute plans to improve the quality of LLM-based models across multiple Apple Intelligence features.
