In this role within Apple's Silicon Engineering group, you will be part of the GPU Shader Core team, focusing on developing power-efficient, high-performance graphics processor microarchitectures. You will collaborate with various disciplines to define, verify, and deliver advanced features for Apple's Unified Shader Core. The position emphasizes innovation and teamwork, contributing to groundbreaking products used by millions. Your expertise will help enhance design modularity and improve verification processes.
Requirements
- BS degree with 3 years of relevant Design Verification experience or MS degree with 3 years of relevant Design Verification experience.
- Background in CPU or GPU architectures or equivalently complex IPs.
- Experience developing Object Oriented infrastructure in System Verilog or C++.
- Experience with HDL simulators and waveform viewers such as IES, VCS, DVE, and Verdi.
- Experience with GPU or SIMD architectures.
- Familiarity with verification methodologies like UVM/OVM.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Ruby, or Perl.
- Expertise in debugging highly complex logic designs and Object Oriented software.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict schedule deadlines.
Responsibilities
- Develop, execute and report progress on test plans for one or more GPU features.
- Coordinate the development of shared verification infrastructure with other DV teams.
- Create and maintain UVM-based verification test bench components and environments.
- Create and maintain Object-oriented functional models of the underlying design.
- Develop comprehensive constrained random test suites.
- Run simulations and debug design and test environment issues.
- Create and analyze functional coverage, enhancing the test environment to target coverage holes.
- Work with GPU µArch and Design teams on defining features and improving design modularity.
