This position is part of the Silicon Validation Hardware team, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC) for Apple products. The role involves collaborating with various teams to develop specifications and ensure seamless functionality of devices. You will engage in high-speed board designs, testing, and debugging complex system-level issues. Your contributions will be critical in enabling the next generation of Apple products that customers love.

• BS in Electrical, Computer or related degree program with 10 years of experience.
• Experience with schematic level board design.
• Understanding of board bring-up and debug strategies.
• Strong fundamentals in electrical engineering concepts including transistor operation, signal integrity, and timing analysis.
• RTL experience using Verilog or VHDL, preferably with FPGA design experience.
• Proficiency with standard hardware lab equipment including scopes, logic and spectrum analyzers.
• Test automation expertise using Perl, Tcl, or Python.

• Develop specifications based on requirements from cross-functional teams.
• Perform schematic capture, circuit design, and define layout and routing constraints.
• Conduct design reviews and simulations.
• Engage in FPGA and CPLD development.
• Carry out board bring-up, testing, characterization, and debug.
• Analyze power and signal integrity.
• Design and characterize high-speed interfaces.
• Debug a wide range of issues on test boards and production systems.
