Job description

Apple is seeking a talented Design for Test Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on chip design. This role involves collaborating with various disciplines to ensure the successful delivery of functional products to millions of customers. The engineer will be responsible for the development design of large SOC blocks and will work closely with teams in architecture, verification, and physical design. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to innovative technologies and groundbreaking products.

Requirements

  • Enrolled in BSEE/MSEE, MSCE, or PhD program
  • Knowledge of the ASIC design flow, front-end design verification, synthesis, scripting, and netlist generation
  • Proven track record of high-performance designs for low power applications
  • Experience in RTL design and timing closure on large complex designs
  • Familiarity with DFT and backend related methodology and tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Own all aspects of development design for large SOC blocks including internal and external IP integration
  • Design system bus and control bus logic for connectivity of IP blocks to main SOC infrastructure
  • Take ownership of the integration specification for the design project
  • Integrate and optimize any memories and hard macros required for the block
  • Run synthesis, netlist generation, and timing closure for the block
  • Develop and maintain methodology, flows, and checks for the design
  • Work with multi-disciplinary groups to ensure designs are delivered on time and with the highest quality
