Job description

The role is part of Apple's Trust & Safety organization, focusing on fostering trust, safety, and fairness across products and services. The Tools & Automation Engineering team is responsible for ensuring the quality of applications through refined quality assurance processes and the development of testing tools. This position involves working in a cross-functional environment to support quality assurance for various platforms, including operating systems and machine learning solutions. The ultimate goal is to safeguard the Apple ecosystem from fraud while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Proficient in Python, Swift, Scala, or Java.
  • Experience in quality assurance of iOS, macOS, visionOS, or watchOS applications.
  • Experience with XCTest and XCUITest frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience in machine learning platform development or testing.
  • Experience with container and cloud technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
  • Experience with data technologies including Hadoop, Kafka, Cassandra, Apache Spark, and Apache Flink.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test strategies and plans for software applications.
  • Create test automation tools and frameworks for effective testing.
  • Support quality assurance needs for Trust & Safety platforms and solutions.
  • Triage problems, prioritize tasks, and propose effective solutions.
  • Establish a culture of quality by enforcing quality and release standards.
