Job description

This role is part of Apple's Wireless Silicon Design group, focusing on the development of innovative wireless communication systems. The team is responsible for addressing complex challenges in wireless silicon development, including radio architecture and system performance. The position requires collaboration with various engineering disciplines to define and specify wireless systems. The main focus is on developing algorithms and models to optimize radio performance and mitigate impairments.

Requirements

  • BS with 10 years of relevant experience required.
  • MSEE/PhD with relevant experience is preferred.
  • Understanding of RF and analog components/modules in wireless communication systems.
  • Experience with MATLAB, Python and/or C/C++ for algorithm development.
  • Hands-on experience with lab testing and characterization tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system models for RF/analog design and radio chain modeling.
  • Evaluate radio performance across various application scenarios.
  • Collaborate with HW digital designers and architects to define wireless systems.
  • Work with firmware designers to implement physical/radio compensation algorithms.
  • Test, characterize, and optimize real silicon in the lab.

Benefits
