The Apple Media Graphics Compute Technologies (MGCT) group is seeking talented engineers for its Audio DSP Software team. This team is responsible for hosting Apple's audio algorithms across various platforms, including iOS and macOS. The role focuses on enhancing the performance and user experience of audio features used by millions of customers. Candidates should be passionate about audio and eager to improve the quality of audio experiences for both customers and developers.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in modern C++
  • Knowledge in signal processing principles
  • Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills
  • Experience in Swift or Objective-C
  • Experience in developing realtime or performance-critical applications
  • Experience in audio technologies

Responsibilities

  • Help solve problems and build out new features and capabilities.
  • Productize and integrate advanced audio algorithms.
  • Provide developer-facing APIs for audio applications.
  • Work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
