Job description
The Graphics Verification Engineer will be part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on the pre-silicon RTL verification of low power embedded graphics cores. This role requires a deep understanding of micro-architectural details and the ability to collaborate with various teams to ensure efficient product delivery. The engineer will be responsible for architecting test bench methodologies and managing the verification process for GPU designs. This position is critical in enabling Apple products to perform seamlessly and efficiently.
Requirements
- BS degree with 10 years of relevant experience
- Strong background in CPU or GPU architectures
- Experience with Verilog or other HDLs
- Proficiency in architecting test benches using System Verilog and UVM/OVM
- Experience with constrained random verification processes and assertion methodology
- Ability to debug complex design and environmental issues
- Experience with various HDL simulators and waveform viewers like IES, VCS, DVE, Verdi
- Familiarity with Perl, Shell scripting, Makefiles, and TCL
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under strict schedule deadlines
- Strong expertise in GPU architectures
Responsibilities
- Lead top-level verification teams for logic blocks in GPU designs
- Own overall development, execution, and tracking of team's test plans
- Architect test bench methodology using Universal Verification Methodology (UVM) and System Verilog components
- Build testing stimulus, coverage, and regression strategy
- Own and maintain test benches and BFMs
- Debug simulation and silicon GPU failures
- Drive discussions with design and micro-architecture teams to coordinate verification efforts
- Generate and present weekly status to the GPU leadership team
