JobsCAD Gate-level 3DIC EM/IR Engineer
Job description
This role is part of Apple's CAD Group, focusing on developing innovative designs through power EM/IR analysis. The position requires hands-on experience to refine methodologies for gate-level and transistor-level designs. You will collaborate with various design groups and EDA vendors to ensure effective EM/IR solutions. The goal is to streamline and automate EM/IR flows while addressing accuracy and capacity challenges.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a BS degree and 10 years of relevant industry experience.
- Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Tcl, Python, or Perl.
- Experience in EDA Tool, CAD flow, and EMIR methodology.
- Hands-on knowledge of industry-leading EMIR tools like Voltus, VoltusFi, RedHawk-SC, and Totem.
- Experience in the analysis involved in EMIR, including extraction, timing, noise, simulation, physical design, and verification.
Responsibilities
- Develop custom EM/IR solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges.
- Streamline and automate the EM/IR flow with ownership of the entire process.
- Support and collaborate with design groups on their EM/IR requirements for various post-layout flows.
- Work closely with EDA vendors and foundries for tool qualification, debugging, and enhancement.
- Coordinate and drive initiatives with little to no oversight.
