Job description

The Senior Machine Learning Engineer will join the Apple Store Online team, focusing on enhancing the digital shopping experience for customers. This role involves researching and developing algorithms for product search, recommendation systems, and personalization. The engineer will collaborate with multi-functional teams to implement machine learning algorithms and testing workflows. The position offers the opportunity to work on innovative projects that impact millions of customers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of related experience building high throughput scalable applications or machine learning models.
  • Proficiency in one or more object-oriented programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++.
  • Experience building data processing pipelines and large scale machine learning systems.
  • Experience with big data technologies like Spark, SQL, Snowflake, or Hadoop.
  • PhD or Graduate degree with research/work experience using data science techniques.
  • Experience in Recommender Systems, Personalization, Search, or Natural Language Processing.
  • Experience using Deep Learning, Bandits, Probabilistic Graphical Models, or Reinforcement Learning is a plus.
