Job description
In this role within the Silicon Technologies group, you will focus on generating and analyzing GPU efficiency projections, specifically performance versus power metrics. You will collaborate with various teams, including Architecture and Silicon Validation, to ensure that Apple products maintain high performance and power efficiency. This position is crucial for influencing key factors affecting GPU performance and improving methodologies for accuracy. Your work will directly impact the development of next-generation processors and GPUs for Apple devices.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Experience with power or silicon technology or performance.
- Proficiency in Python, VBA, or other coding languages.
- Experience with data analysis and Excel.
- Strong communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
Responsibilities
- Generate and analyze GPU efficiency projections for each generation of GPU from concept to silicon.
- Drive the methodology of generating projections and efficiency curves to improve accuracy and quality.
- Collaborate with the architecture team to set power targets and assess the impact of features on efficiency.
- Work with performance and power teams to gather data for efficiency curves and analyze the impact.
- Collaborate with the silicon team to enhance projections based on silicon data.
