This role focuses on improving physical synthesis techniques for Apple's processors, including CPUs, GPUs, and NPUs. The position requires collaboration with design teams to develop methodologies and optimized flows that enhance performance and power efficiency. The expert will also work with EDA vendors to create custom solutions and influence tool roadmaps. The ultimate goal is to achieve breakthrough results that translate to faster and more efficient Apple devices.

• Minimum requirement of BS degree and 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience with TCL, Python, or Perl scripting languages
• Hands-on knowledge of industry standard Synthesis and PNR tools like Genus and Innovus
• Demonstrated experience in Implementation flows and methodologies including Synthesis, PNR, and STA sign-off
• Solid understanding of Extraction and STA methodology and tools
• Experience with Power Analysis tools like PTPX is a plus

• Own the synthesis challenges that matter most to Apple Silicon
• Develop, improve, and support the implementation flow from RTL through GDS signoff
• Partner closely with design teams to define effective methodologies and tools
• Develop innovative techniques and validate their effectiveness through full validation flows
• Work directly with EDA vendors to shape tool roadmaps and build custom solutions
