As a member of the CAD team, you will play a crucial role in architecting, developing, maintaining, and improving physical design verification flows for Apple's next-generation processors and system-on-chip designs. You will collaborate with various teams, including custom digital, analog, mixed-signal design, and physical design, to facilitate the chip design process. Your work will involve coding custom PDV rule decks and enhancing methodologies to ensure high-performance and power-efficient designs. This position offers opportunities to develop automation solutions using machine learning and large language models.

• Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of relevant industry experience
• Knowledge in Calibre, ICV, or Pegasus runset coding
• Knowledge of machine learning or large language models is a plus
• Knowledge of parasitic extraction, SKILL coding, and place and route tools is a plus
• Previous industry experience in silicon chip design flows
• IP/SOC level PDV debug experience in various technology nodes
• Scripting skills in programming languages such as Python, Perl, Tcl, Shell, Makefile, or C

• Develop, improve, and maintain various aspects of physical verification flow and methodology
• Coordinate the effort of validating flows and improving custom checks and data generation
• Work with the design and physical design teams to facilitate the chip design process
• Code custom PDV rule decks such as Electrical rule checks and Programmable ERCs
• Collaborate with tool vendors and foundries for PDK performance enhancements
