Job description
The Data Center Engineer in Civil Engineering at Google focuses on the physical design of data centers, ensuring compliance with codes and standards while driving innovation and sustainability. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
- 3 years of experience in civil/structural or site engineering.
- Experience with building design, coordination, and construction.
- Experience implementing civil/structural engineering principles such as grading and drainage.
Responsibilities
- Define and author owner technical specifications focusing on performance and sustainability.
- Produce concept design sketches and drawings for site civil layouts and master plans.
- Review design packages at each milestone, demonstrating full ownership of deliverables.
- Work closely with the site execution team to implement designs and provide solutions.
- Collaborate with the project controls team to validate cost and schedule estimates.
