Job description
The EE Instrumentation team at Apple is responsible for architecting and designing advanced Test and Measurement instruments essential for product validation and testing. This collaborative group focuses on developing sophisticated equipment to support the production of world-class consumer products. The role involves specifying, architecting, designing, validating, and developing electrical instrumentation. The individual will work closely with product teams to ensure alignment with future product development.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Physics.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
- Experience in the development of PCB instrumentation boards.
- Experience in PCB specification, architecture, design, simulation, prototype, bring-up, validation, characterization, and/or release to production.
- Experience in preparing and delivering presentations.
- Experience in managing and resolving PCB and component issues with external vendors.
- Experience in root cause analysis and resolution.
- Experience in MIPI and Display Port protocol.
- Experience in 10G+ signal integrity modeling, simulation, and analysis.
- Experience in PMIC specification, architecture, design, and layout.
- Experience in PCB design of analog circuits, DC/DC converters, LDOs, and serial interfaces like I2C, SPI, UART.
Responsibilities
- Develop advanced test instrument board architecture, schematic design, PCB layout, prototype, fabrication, assembly, bring-up, and release to production.
- Collaborate with product teams in instrumentation architecture, specification, development, validation, and release.
- Develop test instrumentation roadmaps to align with future product development.
