Job description

This role is part of Apple's CAD Group, focusing on building state-of-the-art designs through custom simulation and power EM/IR analysis. The position emphasizes collaboration with various design groups to enhance circuit verification processes. The ideal candidate will leverage their hands-on experience to develop and refine methodologies and flows. This highly visible role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to drive initiatives with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a BS degree and 10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Perl, or C/C++.
  • Hands-on experience developing transistor level simulation flows and automations.
  • Knowledge in EM/IR analysis tools and their working principles.
  • Familiarity with custom design environments and flows.

Responsibilities

  • Support transistor level simulation solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges.
  • Enhance the custom transistor level simulation flows and/or EM/IR flows.
  • Collaborate with design groups to address circuit verification requirements across different processes.
  • Partner with design, CAD, and EDA teams to identify flow deficiencies and deliver state-of-the-art solutions.

Benefits

  • Employees at Apple are often offered comprehensive benefits that support physical and mental well-being—flexible medical plans, confidential counseling, onsite wellness centers at major campuses, and resources for fitness and daily life. Families typically receive fertility support, paid parental leave with gradual return, caregiving leave, and dependent-care guidance, while financial perks commonly include stock grants (with purchase discounts), 401(k) matching, and income-protection coverage. Employees also see robust time off, Apple University learning and tuition reimbursement, donation matching and paid volunteer hours, and deep product and partner discounts.
