Job description
The OS Performance Tools team is seeking a software developer with expertise in optimization techniques and application design to enhance performance outreach and developer engagement. This role supports the performance of iOS, macOS, tvOS, and watchOS, providing third-party developers with essential tools and data. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of software layers and a keen interest in learning the entire stack. Responsibilities include addressing usability, cross-platform compatibility, and debugging performance issues across Apple's Operating Systems.
Requirements
- Expertise in at least one layer of software development such as embedded, UI, or server.
- Understanding of how data influences decision making in software development.
- Aptitude for independently learning new technologies and proposing software design solutions.
- Prior development experience in Unix, Linux, or macOS.
- Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
- A degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
- Experience in mobile app development.
- Understanding of Operating System fundamentals.
- Knowledge of large data processing and complex data visualization.
