Job description

This role is part of Apple's CAD Group, focusing on building state-of-the-art designs. The position requires hands-on experience in power/signal EM analysis and/or IR analysis to enhance methodologies and flows. The team is dedicated to innovation and collaboration across various design groups to meet circuit verification requirements. The ideal candidate will drive initiatives with minimal supervision while ensuring high accuracy and performance in transistor level EM/IR analysis.

Requirements

  • Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree and 10 years of relevant industry experience
  • Experience with custom design environments and transistor level EM/IR analysis
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Perl, or C/C++
  • Hands-on experience developing transistor level EM/IR analysis and automations
  • Knowledge in EM/IR analysis tools and their working principles
  • Familiarity with custom design environments and flows, including schematic/layout design, simulation, extraction, and physical verification
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to root-cause technical challenges
  • Ability to coordinate and drive initiatives with minimum supervision

Responsibilities

  • Support transistor level power/signal EM and/or IR solutions that scale with accuracy and capacity challenges
  • Enhance the custom transistor level EM/IR methodology
  • Collaborate with various design groups to address circuit verification requirements across different processes
  • Partner with design, CAD, and EDA teams to identify flow deficiencies and deliver state-of-the-art solutions
