Job description

In this role, you will be part of the Silicon Technologies group, focusing on developing software to validate and debug communication and thermal blocks in Apple SoCs. You will work collaboratively with other teams to address and resolve SoC issues while coordinating tests. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design and manufacture of high-performance, power-efficient processors that power Apple devices. Your work will have a significant impact on delivering high-quality functional products to millions of customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum BS Degree.
  • Experience in low level software development in a linux/unix environment.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ programming.
  • General knowledge of computer architecture and operating systems.
  • Knowledge and skill in Python programming.
  • Experience with communication blocks such as RS232, SPI, I2C, SDIO, USB, and PCI.
  • Experience with power management, voltage and/or thermal monitoring, dynamic voltage and frequency scaling, and performance throttling.
  • Familiarity with digital design, design verification, and silicon and analog characterization.
  • Experience with assembly languages and scripting languages.
  • Experience using test equipment, analyzers, and debuggers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop software to validate various communication and thermal IP blocks in Apple SoCs.
  • Work with other teams to bring up and debug SoC issues.
  • Coordinate and run tests to ensure functionality and performance.
  • Craft and build technology that fuels Apple’s devices.
