Job description
As a member of the CAD team within the Silicon Technologies group, you will play a crucial role in architecting, developing, and maintaining physical design verification flows for next-generation processors and system-on-chip designs. Your work will involve collaborating with various teams to ensure efficient chip design processes and enhancing methodologies. You will also have the opportunity to develop automation solutions using machine learning and large language models. This position is essential for ensuring that Apple products meet high-performance and power-efficient standards.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience.
- Knowledge in Silicon chip design flows.
- Understanding of design rule checks (DRC) and layout versus schematic (LVS) from previous work experience or coursework.
- Scripting experience in programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Tcl.
- Experience with automation and development.
- Knowledge of machine learning or large language models is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Develop, improve, and maintain various aspects of physical verification flow and methodology.
- Coordinate the effort of validating flows and improving custom checks and data generation.
- Work with the design and physical design teams to facilitate the chip design process.
- Code custom physical design verification rule decks such as Electrical rule checks (ERC) and Programmable ERCs.
- Collaborate with tool vendors and foundries for performance enhancements of process design kits (PDK).
