Job description
This role is part of Apple's Silicon Technologies group, focusing on designing and manufacturing high-performance, power-efficient processors and system-on-chip (SoC). As a member of the CAD team, you will develop and enhance custom analog power intent methodology and circuit ERC solutions for various designs. The position involves collaborating with diverse design teams to understand their needs and applying advanced techniques to streamline processes. Your work will contribute to ensuring that Apple products can efficiently handle complex tasks.
Requirements
- Minimum requirement of a BS degree.
- Programming/scripting skills in Perl, Python, TCL, SKILL language, C++, or Shell.
- Exposure to custom Schematic/Layout tracing via SPICE/Open Access.
- Familiarity with power gating techniques, biasing, and circuit topologies.
- Knowledge of SVRF, TCL, Liberty/.lib, UPF - IEEE1801, and CPF formats.
- Experience with industry low power tools such as Siemens Calibre PERC and Cadence tools.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative solutions on Circuit ERC or Power Intent analysis leveraging expertise on circuits and programming.
- Support ERC/Power Intent on voltage domain interactions like supply gating mechanisms and isolation controls.
- Collaborate closely with design teams to understand their needs regarding circuit ERC and power flows.
- Apply advanced techniques to address design requirements across multiple products and reduce duplicate work.
- Work with CAD, Power, and Technology teams to validate ML-based applications and evaluate external vendor solutions.
