Job description
The GPU Silicon Validation Team is focused on validating the functional operation, electrical behavior, power, and performance of Apple's embedded GPUs. Team members engage in test planning, execution, data analysis, and tool development. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the successful validation of GPU silicon. The position requires a strong understanding of silicon validation tasks and the ability to troubleshoot complex hardware and software issues.
Requirements
- BS degree and 3 years of relevant experience.
- Previous silicon validation experience is required.
- Experience in C/C++ and one or more scripting languages such as Python or TCL/expect.
- Experience with system and SoC architectures.
- Experience with CPU or GPU architectures.
- Experience with device physics and transistor behavior.
- Experience debugging hardware and software issues in an embedded system.
- Experience with performing electrical measurements.
- Experience with manufacturing test methodology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience reading schematics.
- Experience performing performance and power measurements.
Responsibilities
- Execute and communicate plans to validate the GPU silicon functionally and electrically.
- Lead any debug efforts required.
- Identify and drive improvements in validation and debug methodology and tools.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on manufacturing test suites, debug, and improvements.
- Lead fail triage and debug of underlying embedded GPU issues.
- Learn and support all GPU silicon validation tasks as needed.
- Maintain, develop, and improve automation tools for validation and debug.
- Configure system hardware and software for silicon validation.
